THIS 1988 advert really brings me back to what used to be a typical Sunday morning: a lie in followed by a stroll to the newsagents to get the Sunday paper, then having a leisurely read whilst enjoying a cup of Nescafé.

Let’s not forget that physically going into the bank to pay bills as well as paying in and accessing money was common during the 1980s (also, not forgetting that many weekly salaries were paid in cash – cash really was king), so Halifax Cardcash was on trend and innovative.
These days, finding a cash machine is doable in most cases, but finding a high street bank is a bit more tricky as they seem to be disappearing faster than a Formula One car driven by Nigel Mansell!
Did you know that Heinz used to make burgers in a tin?
